Welcome to our landmark Yulupa Mountain Ranch

Our property is known as Yulupa Mountain Ranch (“YMR”)

Besides accommodations, we offer guests the unique opportunity to explore via newly constructed bridle and hiking trails 475 acres of dynamic, agricultural preserve including a winery built in 1867, a lovely and active chardonnay vineyard, pastures where horses and cattle graze and wild, unspoiled California country including the peak of stunning Bennett mountain. These comprise one of the most iconic family owned and operated ranches in Sonoma County’s wine country.

The wild acreage adjoins the historic 6,000 acre Annadel-Trione State Park to the north, west and east. These, too, are open to guests for exploration. For many years this area was home to members of the Miwok, Pomo and Wappo native American tribes. In 1848 YMR was formed into a ranch by James Bennett. Then in 1859 it was purchased by one of the region’s first wine pioneers, Isaac DeTurk. Continuing DeTurk’s 19th century legacy, our sustainably-farmed vineyard produces world class chardonnay, and our ranch once again grazes cattle and horses. We hope you’ll want to visit our ranch to stay. Enjoy hiking or riding our magnificent bridle trails.
